Tamworth Music Festival January 2019

The Tamworth Music Festival has once again, come and gone

I recommend this, as a place to put on a bucket list, as there are plenty of free sites within driving distance of the town, (the closest is the one adjacent to the airport on the Oxley Highway, approximately eight kilometres from town), and there are plenty of free artist busking in the main street

I especially recommend the Red Cross Hall/House/Building, as it is a gold coin donation to get in, and there is cheap freshly made food, plus plenty of variety from the music artist

What else can I say, apart from it was hot

I think that it was hot all over at that time of year, the fortnight before the end of the NSW school summer holidays

The Red Cross Hall was air conditioned, which made it cool enough, to eat the hot toasted egg and bacon sandwiches, and the home made fresh sausage rolls

The regular handyman/helper, Laurie, is still not over his health problems, but improving

Being the cheeky little man that I am, I offered to help out where I could, at the Red Cross Hall

Ernie Johns, the man who runs the show, with his wife Kerrie, kindly offered us a parking spot behind the building, with 240 Volt available

If you happen to read this post, Ernie and/or Kerrie, please take this as the official thank you, from Tony and Bev, the Grey Nomads from Bunbury West Australia

Unfortunately this year, I left my camera in a safe place, back in Bunbury, so no pictures, apart from the single picture below, lifted from a facebook site

I did not jot down the names of all the singers, regulars and walk ups, who got up and had a go, so suffice to say, there were plenty of them

Did Bev and I, enjoy ourselves at Tamworth, yes we did
Will we go back to Tamworth next year, yes we will

They say that a picture says a thousand words, and this one was taken on the afternoon, of the last day

Unfortunately (because of a few burns), my outward smile is no longer as good as it once was, but it is still the same feeling inside

Below from left to right are Ernie, Tony, and Bev
