Finally weighed the outfit.

Recent trip away last year We were cruising up the hume & I said to the boss we're near the free weigh bridge, lets stop & see what the outfit weighs. Have a diesel territory & van is a 2005 jayco freedom anniversary model poptop. Van is 16.5ft. Cabin, single axle, 2 60lt. Water tanks, combo shower toilet, 2 * 9kg. Gas bottles, grey water tank (empty) Hot water system, 2* 120ah. batterys, spare tyre, toilet tank full. Car is r.w.d. with tow rating of 2300kgs, . Total of outfit (did not unhitch) 4080kgs, car is 2100 kerb weight, suprised Me a bit as I considered My modest combo much lighter, can now see why people get into trouble over weights especially with larger vans, Cheers, John
