Where did the word "attack" come from?

Who is attacking whom?

The "twists and turns" started about the fourth post....eg away from the OP post.

Read my posts, I'm "amused", about peoples opinions of a media they dont use...or they demonise it. But show me where I "attacked".?

Santa likes both sides - "Fortunately FB use seems to be declining rapidly worldwide"  then "I'm not condemning the medium. .."

And other comments it was clear where you opinion lies. No problem. Hear that? No problem!

But attacked? I wait for you to tell me where my comments deserved such description.

Gday

I doubt anyone actually attacked the OP.

However, these are some of the responses to the OP

  • Don't waste your time on Facebook, get a life.
  • Nothing like showing your ignorance Mezza.
  • you Mezza need to get a life
  • one should engage ones brain, before putting ones opinion in a public place
  • he must be on something to make a post like that
  • you do need to take your head out of the sand
  • If you do not like it, do not go there
  • Those that dont have a desire to use FB dont use it. But to go one step further and demonise it is showing a level of paranoia.

Earlier, I tried to draw responders attention to the intent of the original post which was colourfully describing the minor and trivial complaints many seem to have detailed on the lemon sites on Facebook.

However, one could not accept that the above comments were commenting on the actual content of the post.

Cheers stay well and travel safely - John

Well said John.

I think the problem is that some simply cant accept that others may have perfectly valid opinions that differ from their own, and, interpret any opposing viewpoint as an affrontwink.

Rocky and Santa

Are you really serious, or is this a joke, and your just trying to stir the pot, WOOPS can I express an opinion also.

When someone posts a comment like Mezza has, re Lemons sites, you have to expect some of the comments returned to him.

Using terms like "trivial BS" and "get a life you dipsticks", what, these terms are all fine in your opinion!!..... REALLY......?

Many people have been hurt both financially and emotionly by the many shonky caravan dealers/manufacturers out there.

I am sure they don't think it trivial or Bull ****, so if they want to tell all about all there troubles, good on them, if you don't agree, fine don't go there.

Time "some" of you people opened your eyes and removed your head from the sand or your own backside.

Gday...

If you read my earlier responses I have agreed that Mezza's post was indeed 'colourful' language.

However, I ask again whether those who have dismissed the post that many comments on the 'lemon sites' are for trivial problems and not of sufficient significance to declare a particular brand of van a 'lemon' have actually visited these 'lemon sites' and read some of the trivia.

I certainly agree there are people who have been "hurt both financially and emotionally" by problems with their purchase and difficulties getting remediation. However, some of the items people are tearing up their undies over are minor.

The purpose of my posts is not one to provide support for the language used by Mezza, but rather to suggest one looks past that and understand the gist of the post is that the "lemon sites" have much 'trivia' - along with substance.

Cheers - stay well and travel safely - John

A bit late for a balanced discussion now.

Gday...

I understand, appreciate and like your attempt to add balance GF.

However, the matter is not the offering of 'opposing viewpoints' but one of making derogatory comments directed at the player rather than the ball.

This a forum where opinions can, and should, be shared. However, this is not a cricket match where sledging is fostered. Slanging is not the offering of 'opposing viewpoints'. hmm

Cheers - John

This is exactly the type of inflammatory remark that adds nothing, plenty of common sense shown in this thread as well as a lot of emotive clap trap.

I suspect a few of the posters didn't excel at comprehension during their school years.biggrin
