Dometic b3000 air conditioner

We have just purchased a second hand caravan fitted with a Dometic b3000 air conditioner and are thinking about getting an inverter generator. I contacted Dometic and they informed me that a 3.5kva generator is required but it must be able to supply 28 amps for at least 150 milliseconds to start the air con. I am a bit lost as to what this means . Can anyone suggest an inverter generator that will give this output please. Cheers Jim

Do a search,

I seem to recall that someone posted recently  that their Honda 2.0i could start their Aircon. Alternatively you could buy one of these and have it wired into your Aircon to soft start.

 Our 2 Kva Honda will run our Dometic 3000 air con.  Don`t have any other appliance turned on.
