Potential to cause caraavan fire

Hi Caravaners,

just thought I would share this

I had to take our oven out off the caravan to change out a thermocouple that wasn't working

when the oven was removed I found the plastic edging had been burnt due to the heat off one off

the gas rings

looks to me like a design fault by Coromal  to have fitted the oven up against the plastic moulding

I have removed the plastic moulding and replaced it with exhaust heat wrap

Problem fixed

Not good.

Will spend a few minutes checking around our stove top and oven to make sure all is good.

Thank you.

This can happen when someone puts a pan larger than gas ring on the stove - they are only meant to use certain size pots and pans. This is basically the same result that caused the compact Chinese butane stoves to be withdrawn.
