A woman goes to an auction in the hope of purchasing an exotic speaking parrot.

She places a bid on the bird before another voice pipes up and doubles the price.

The pair continue furiously bidding against each other until, eventually, the second bidder gives up and the woman takes the prize.

As she goes to pick up the bird she warns the auctioneer, saying: Im paying an absolute fortune for this parrot. He better talk as well as you say he does.

The auctioneer smiles and replies: Oh, I guarantee it.
