Hi all, couldn't find any info re the above two sites at the present time, so decided to give this a go. Thinking of heading to one or the other in a few days(New Years Day), have a big rig and would like to know if there are many there atm, as it will be us and our daughter & partner in a caravan for a few days. Any info would be greatly appreciated. TIA Gypsy
Yes Delta, we prefer Aysons, but usually pretty busy this time of year. We need to be near Bendigo for appointment, so was hoping someone that is actually at Aysons would see this and let me know how busy it is there atm. Thank you for replying.
There is a small short stay park at Huntley just on the outskirts of Bendigo that may be suitable. Only facilities if I remember correctly are toilets.

Gday...
Huntly rest area is a very small and busy park, which is completely level. There are flushing toilets, a town water tap with a hose connecter and bins.
Small area, popular location
Not suitable for very large rigs
BBQ and covered picnic table
Walking distance to the pub
Huntly Lions Park Rest Area
Great overnight stopover, but you need to get in early, preferably late morning. Limited space to turn around and very popular with travellers.
GPS: -36.67004 , 144.32677

We had a couple of nights at Happy Jacks Rec Reserve at Lockwood South (only about minutes drive SW of Bendigo) recently. Good spot if you need to be in Bendigo. 48 Glen Road, Lockwood South.
Reasonably quite little highway noise. We were happy to leave our van there while we explored Bendigo.

Thanking you for your suggestions, we have been to all the camps in the vicinity of Bendigo, and know them very well, was hoping someone on the campground could advise us, if there was any space but evidently no one at iether camp are online. Happy Jacks is great for stop over, Aysons for at least a week is good, Huntly is good if you're passing through,English Bridge nice spot for a Bush Camp if SC. Happy New Year All.
