are good alternatives and what would be average cost of staying in caravan parks

I'm looking at becoming a grey nomad too so have been doing quite a bit of research. There is a good app you can download called wikicamps Australia for free and low cost camping. The cost of caravan parks varies depending on where you want to stay, the coast of course generally being more expensive. If you google free and low cost camping there are a number of sites. Plus of course the recommendations from everyone here.

Hi, Bill and Elaine here. We have been doing the winter thing from the NSW /Vict border for about 20 years now, we are on our 5th van, Crusader Semi Off road, bought new 6 years ago and still love it. Spend 5 months in the far North or West each year. Tow vehicle is an 18-month-old Toyota gxl twin cab v8 and will not swap that either.

Thanks for the welcome. we bush camp and mix with the smaller groups, found over the years it does not pay to mention a lot
about your travels as a lot of folks take offences and file you in the skite lot. If asked we freely give advice to the best of our experiences or if not say nothing.Safe travel to all.
