This week I've been looking at portable fire pits. I already have one that was 38cms tall. I needed one that folded down to < 30cm tall. After perusing pits (Bunnings included), I just cut 10cms off the legs of my existing pit. Co-incidently it's much more stable now.
Yes I agree, but at my age and with a wife in ill health and mates dissapearing around me... I have a new motto, if you want it, buy it. Life is too short to worry about money or ponder over prices, bills, markets, economies, Real Estate prices, etc., etc., etc.
if someone can prove that there is a life hereafter, I will reconsider...until then, ENJOY...we are not on a practice run!

I dropped into Bunnings this afternoon and took a look at the unit mentioned; not overly impressed.
The box is made from 3mm steel and the plates are 1.5mm or so. The airflow passage doesn't look great to me and I suspect it will struggle to draw well.
The optional oven sits in the flu and will further impede air flow which explains why a YouTube video shows it struggles to reach 100C.
The hot water thingie just sits on the side and hopes it can pick up enough heat - probably it cannot.
At $290 for the basic box it's overpriced and I suspect the $99 Aldi unit is a better buy although it's build quality will be poorer:
