It would be fitted to "Pop Top" without knowing van construction fixing methods not able to be ascertained. Is it possible to affix a sail track across the back?

If it is anything like the ARB awning and deluxe room with a floor I have on my car, there is a far bit of weight to it, I think the aluminium extrusion maybe a bit heavier on the ARB when I compared it to a few others. Worse still if the wind hits the side of the room there is even more load. As said above you would need to know the construction of the caravan so it is fastened securely and that it doesn't get ripped off the caravan.
However, it is near the cladding stage and therefore, being the builder, I know tge steel frame will be strong enough.
Assuming you establish that strength question, those awnings are desiged for bolting onto a 4wd roof rack. The "L" brackets arent suitable for the vertical side of caravans. I plan to make up my own brackets or modify the ones supplied. It shouldnt be a difficult welding job.
I likely will seek out the Wallaroo awning, identical but with tougher 420 material.

Hi, we have this onour rear door caravan. It was on there when we bought it but i have seen similar ones in one of the Caravan shops here on the Gold Coast. It is attached to the poptop by asliding into a sail track. It has tie down straps fitted and we leave it in permanently. Came with the walls and poles. We use it allthe time. Hope this helps
