Hi Guy's New Member to this forum, spent 5 years travelling Australia with my Motorhome, converted Ansair Bus aframing a Nissan Patrol at the back, and I admit I just loved it. Towed the wife and 2 kids along, explored all the gold fields opal fields around Australia, Duck Creek, Yowah, and I could walk for miles using my gold detector, we left Broken Hill and done the Thargomindah Track to Yowah Eulo and onto Cunnamulla. then to Charters Towers, then down to the Burdikin Falls, then up to Darwin, all the way through to Perth stopping at towns on the way. then back to Melbourne, then Sydney, then returned to Perth where we bought a house and ended up retiring there. moved to Queensland around 4 years ago and bought a house on a wee island called Macleay Island, lovely place but the novalty wore off after a few years, so ended up buying a 5th wheeler and a GMC Sierra, and started our journey again, been traveling a few years now, but I must admit its now time to retire for good, old age getting to me now, bought a townhouse in Mandurah and what a lovely town, so the 5th wheeler and truck are now up for sale. ( can you sell your rig on the Grey Nomads if you ask permission ) have been looking at this forum for years and enjoyed all the stories and adventures, but never joined, thanks for looking at my blog and I wish everyone all the best and have safe journeys in the future,
G'day Robbie and welcome to the forum. Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit. Sounds like you've been there, done that and then repeated! Enjoy your time on the forum.
Thanks for the reply Tony Bev, I have read quite a few of your posts and as always you seem to give good answers to most questions.
Thanks again Robbie
I can assure you Robertmac66, that there are plenty on this forum, who are more experienced travellers than me, who can give very precise answers, if they are asked a precise question
As far as the friendliness/helpfulness/thoughtfulness/experience/technical/mechanical ability, of members of this forum, I would call myself average
