Am heading out to Killarney soon and just wondering if someone can give me any details on the showgrounds - if power there, what amenities are there and what the charge is per night. Many thanks.

If that's Killarney just West of Warrnambool VIC you set around the oval and a caretaker comes around to collect money. It was $20 per night when I was last there. Toilets and showers and drinking water also power on non power.

Good spot.

WikiCamps has no mention of a showground campground. There are two parks in town and one up at Queen Mary Falls @ $28 per night.

The link below lists Council restrictions & shows locations where camping is permitted along with info on camps at Dams in the Council area.

Leslie Dam (Washpool) is a good spot as is Queen Mary Falls CP.   Best of all is the CP at Storm King Dam ...  A fair way from Killarney though.
