Gday...
That's an impressive list. It is great that you have taken the time to detail where ya wanna go ... hope ya retiring early enuff to fit it all in.
My "bucket list" was made about 30 years ago and was quite short - retire, buy van, travel Straya full-time and see 'it all' - still working on that last bit despite 10 years on the road.
As you can see, I still have a few things to do ... some of them on your list. However, some of those on your list I haven't done are not that important to me but that's not the point as they are yours.
I must admit that I did quite a few on your list before I actually retired.
Cheers - all success to your plans - John

We usually plan 3 major trips ahead. 2019 SA & WA up as far as Exmouth. 2020 is Cape York & back down the East Coast. 2021 is Tasmania for the 4th time.
On our next trip, we will be doing the painted art silo route, Streaky Bay, going to the Carnarvon Space Museum, crossing the Nullarbor but not taking 2 weeks, plus many other gorgeous places (Murchison River, The Pinnacles, Pink Lagoon, Coral Bay, Tree Top Walk and whatever else we care to!). As always we will be blogging the entire 9 weeks.
What made me laugh the most was your #69 LOL.
One you will really enjoy is climbing Mt Kosciuszko. It is not as difficult as people think and there are plenty of stops along the way to rest & take photos. We have done it once & cannot wait to go back and climb it a 2nd time.
Enjoy ticking those 100 off, plus any others you may add to it!
After 15 years full time on our bucket list ( expected to spend 3 years completng), it just keeps getting longer not shorter. My estimate the updated bucket list will take another 30 years, unless we keep adding.
Neil
If you are going to Tamgambalanga then you should drop into Yakandandah especially now that it has a Beechworth bakery shop. One of my favourite little towns in NE Victoria .
Hi Ray
Great list, Margaret and self ticked off the places we have been to, Thanks. Re:
Visit Kaniva VIC
Years ago we overnighted in their showground and over the years have traveled thru the town many many times.... What are we missing.
Re:
Visit Wilcannia NSW
Years ago stayed in the town CP by the river, under a gum tree, possums had a fight in the branches above us at 2am and twiggs and small branches rained down on our 12 x 12 tent with no floor and little green frogs came under the tent sides to greet us in the morning. It has some very old buildings and you buy your diesel at the BP outlet a lot cheaper than on the main drag. Like Kaniva have travelled thru the town many many times. Am interested in why you picked Wilcannia.
Interesting that as I travel I find stuff that if I knew about beforehand they'd be on my Bucket List:-
Kalbarri (Nature's Window)
Murray River cliffs at Walker Flat (The river pics that generally appear in postcards and travel brochures)
Pubs in the Scrub (near Lightning Ridge)
Quad Bike ride over sand dunes at Coral Bay
Driving up and down Eighty Mile Beach (WA).
Windjana Gorge (WA)
I am surprised at how many of Ray's 100 I've actually done.
Next year it's up the Kidman Way (done) then onto the Matilda Way up to the Gulf, across to Cooktown, and down the coast to Merimbula. West loop this year. East loop next year.

Thanks for all the feedback, comments and suggestions.
fwdoz - look forward to catching up at a Lions meet when I get to your neck of the woods.
Aus-Kiwi - I was lucky enough to make two trips to NZ. When I was about 20 I did a self drive tour of the north island and then about 10 years ago did an 8 day coach tour of the south island. Both very beautiful and unique places. I have a mate who recently moved back to NZ so another trip may well be on the cards.
PeterInSa - I worked in Kaniva for a while. Stayed in the pub while there. Made friends with some shearers and got to see them operate first hand which was an experience for a boy who had only every been on a dairy farm. A number of places on my list are places that I have lived/worked in so while I want to see and experience new places on my trip, it is also a trip down memory lane to reflect and reminisce. As for Wilcannia, I have only just passed through there so would like to see a bit more of it and surrounding area. Thanks for the tip on the fuel pricing.
Dunmowin - I was thinking of basing myself in Humpty Doo. I think it was the bowling club that offers camping??? I visited Wilsons Prom several times as a child. When I was about 5 we went on puffing billy. the train broke down and several people got off, including my dad, to take pictures of the train. Dad took a photo of our family and it shows me crying my eyes out because I thought the train was going to take off and leave dad behind. Its a precious memory that I hold and will no doubt shed another tear when I return. I enjoyed reading your blog Dunmowin. I am doing my blog for me. If family want to follow it they can keep an eye on me and if others find it interesting then that is great. But ultimately its for me and to document my trip and headspace at any given time. I enjoy reading other peoples blogs because they inspire me and give me great ideas and suggestions.
