Discovery parks will get you a discount at both Discovery & Top parks. Depending on your age you may enjoy the "Nomad Friendly" KUI parks. We have dropped big4 as they are often too expensive.
It does not take very many stays to recover the membership cost.

Hi Phil, I just renewed my Big4 membership which was $50 for 2 years. You can save up to $50 max per stay (depends on how many nights ) plus earn points there are also a few other perks just go onto their website and see if you think it's worth it for you . Some parks will give you a discount for membership in motoring organisations such as the NRMA or if you have your van insured through CIL they will give you a discount card. Reflections Holidays parks in NSW used to give you a card and after so many nights gave you a free one but they changed ownership a few months ago and now I believe that you need to become a member like Big4 to get any benefits.
Cheers BB

I couldn't answer as I'm in NSW - perhaps a Victorian Nomad could answer.
I'm a Mexican plus RACV member and have never heard about it sorry.
I have had a Senior discount only recently and it helped. If at a CVP and I don't go in them a lot I always ask if they do a Senior discount or Pension rate.
That all said, I have used three CVP in the last three months and only one did a Senior.

We've usually struck lucky in Vic, I'd say on at least 70% of our stays we've had either a seniors discount or a 5nts for 4 deal, or similar. Never paid for a membership, they're too limiting when you need pet friendly parks. Also, we only travel off-peak.

Plus Possum's previous message.
As an NRMA member I have received the members' discounts at RACV parks in the past. In fact my stay at Inverloch was very well discounted. They were having special deals and gave my NRMA discount on top of that. I think that each state organisation gives reciprocal deals to other state members. It's worth asking, you have nothing to lose but your smokers cough.
