Hi paulypop, welcome to the forum

I am not an electrician, but when you pull a fuse out, there is always power on one side of it

I have different vehicle, and an older engine than you, without a tachometer

If you can say how many parasite amps are draining, that may give the electricians, an idea on where to tell you to look

When you finally fix the problem, would you mind saying how it was fixed, as it could help someone in the future

thnks rob yes I will post when I find the problem
yes I was aware there will all ways be power there a fuse is just the link between thee power source that just blows if shorted out etc
it drops from f a pull of 18 down to 5 once I pull the fuse out so its a fair size drain
really appreciate yours any ones input nice to learn rather than pay big money which I cant really afford
and when travelling the more you understand how things work is a good thing

G'day paulypop,

In the Techies tab, on Sept 10th there was a posting querying an issue on an Iveco Daily - you may get some answers from those who posted replies.

I note you're a Newbie - Welcome to mostly a great forum! Questions like yours are better posed in the Techies area. I did a "Search" but couldn't find anything of interest in past posts.

To my disappointment (I can fix everything, or so I thought), often it does pay to give some of these nasty faults to the experts who may be able to repair it in minimal time.

hi gang been a while I found my power drain by mistake looking at my reverse cams other day have 1 up top 1 up the bottom turns out where I had run the cam cable the door action at the rear  with open and closing had sliced the cam cable in half causing the drain id like to thank all those who had input

my run of bad luck is still on to me the van blew the turbo the other day lots of back and forth play in it and oil all through the intercooler

$1700 for new turbo intercooler hoses and flush and new air cleaner gotta start saving
