The Warrnambool Wombat

I was late in adding this to another posting recently & was thinking that it may have moved on before being seen by the general membership.

I have a warped sense of humour & it seemed one of the characters (Phil) did too! On the first view it appeared there "really" was a hole in the railway bridge across Otway Road & in that hole is a wombat.
Many people stopped to photograph it (not that there was a lot of room to park) & it hit Facebook with an "expected 2000 views". That figure went out the back door as it went viral! The local ABC did a story on it so both it & the equally humorous movie "Oddball" have put Warrnambool on the tourist map.

The "Wombat" can be found at www.abc.net.au/news/about/backstory/regional/2018-08-29/why-the-warrnambool-wombat-mural-video-went-viral/10173128

Phil, the "permanent-er" reminds me a lot of the late actor, Robin Williams. His hat was perfect for the time - as it was VERY cold.

I trust you will enjoy it - as one of the good things to come out of the ABC of recent times.
