Anyone had any experience with these vans? My daughter is looking for a quick get-away trailer that stores in her garage, is light, weather proof and easy to setup.
Original post deleted - since found out the J-pod now has over-ride brakes as standard (sport has electric brakes) and can be towed by smaller cars. Base J-pod is 495kg tare + payload

Thanks for the Riptide link. It never came up in any of my searches, That's the style we are looking for. A company that made that style went belly-up big time just recently.
We've also have the A-Van Weekender to look at. I see a lot of Tear-Drop vans at motorcycle rallies. They are generally towed by VW type trikes and are the Riptide style rather than the Jayco or A-Van.

I find that DuckDuckGo produces a lot of things that Google search does not. This is probably because it does not push adverts your way as much as Google does. I have been using it rather than Google as it also does not track you. Help Spread DuckDuckGo, read that and give it a try.

A friend of mine bought a J Pod lite new for just under $13,000. He originally wanted the Sport but the height with roof rack was just over 2 metres and his carport can only accommodate 2 metres. Jayco wasn't interested in supplying one without the roof rack which is why he opted for the lite. It comes complete with tent which he's never used. He's had no problems with it at all and he told me he did a lot of research on similar type campers including teardrops and found the J Pod to be best value for money.
I'm getting too old to mess around with tent cots etc on fishing trips and I'm getting the same set up as him. Only difference is the price has gone up to $13,290. Still a bargain.
