What are the defects?
The seat cushion frame may not be to specification. Failure of one or more of these welds may cause:
- Noise between separated components
- Displacement/Deformation of the seat cushion frame
- Incomplete/Irregular motion of the seat during adjustment
What are the hazards?
Risk of occupant injury due to sharp edges and potential degradation of occupant safety during an incident.
What should consumers do?
Ford will write to owners of all affected vehicles. Owners are advised to contact their Ford authorised Dealership for inspection and rectification.

Apparently it only affects 60 vehicles in Australia so not a large recall.
Must have had a new chum welding seat frames until someone realised he couldn't weld to save his life and stopped him.
