Alternative brands to HR WDH.

Has anyone tried the alternative brands to HR, that are almost half the price?

Hayman Reece are proven many others are of Asian origins so be aware of what you are actually getting.

I would suggest that anything on this page would be OK. I am currently using this model. It is giving the same service as my previous HR classic bars. I suggest you would have no problems using that one or the larger model if necessary. They do not have the same number of adjustment steps that the HR ones do but the adjustment steps are sufficient.

I have the Ezi Lift 600lb kit with the standard shank. Have now done a lot of miles with this unit. I have previously had HR classic unit of the same size. Whilst they are slightly different in their design, I have found no discernable difference in the performance of one to the other.

I bought a Ford WDH similar to the HR ones, paid $150 new on e-bay . It only adjusts up and down no angles on the ball. There used to be a lot for sale as Ford included it with the heavy duty towbar with removable hitch. A lot of people just wanted the removable hitch so got rid of the rest.

6 vans and two (Large) boats later I made the change from HR to an alternate type.

Not cheap, but about a light year better than any HR set-up. Cuts bouncing (bounding)

by about 80% on the minor roads and is so simple to affix/remove for unhitching and

incorporates in it's design a considerable of anti-sway potential.

And very light weight compared with the monstrous steel creaking and groaning

contraptions that I used all these years!

I consider it revolutionary. About $900. Worth every penny.
