Geaneology - Geary

George Geary left in 1876 to drive a bullock team through central Queensland to western Queensland. George would make his greenhide whips, 20 odd feet long, which were used to control his bullocks.

Parents: William Geary married Martha Broad
Siblings: Mary, Jane, Stephen and John
Married: 14th February 1874, Rockhampton QLD
Spouse: Elizabeth Jane Bowyer
Children: George, Emma, Ellen, Elizabeth, Frederick (known as James) and Thomas

The young man standing beside George Geary is his son- in -law James Benjamin Gillett. He was married to George Geary's daughter Elizabeth Geary. James and Elizabeth Gillett were my paternal grandparents.

Noticed that the last issue of GNT - Firewood  was from Geoff Geary.  Interesting.  Possibly a relative. Small world

I'm a bit bemused by this thread.

I can't find the bit about 'Firewood' in the last GNT.

Nor can I understand DD's response.  Tongue in cheek?

But then the OP deleted himself early the morning after dd's post.  I think.
