Could anyone recommend a good place to stay overnight between Melbourne and Lake Burrendong Dam. We have a 25 foot caravan and are self sufficient. Thanks Dizy

The Wikicamps App has it all for a few bucks. You should be able to afford it.

Plenty of Rest Areas along the Newell Hwy or free camping next to the Murray River at Tocumwal.

If you take this route then I would suggest there is good camping at the Beehive hotel motel at Coolac. It is around 520 km from Melbourne and leaves you 320 km to Burrendong. You can find the details on WikiCamps.
