Second step attachment for caravan

Hi there..   My Avan has one of those standard steel pull out steps..   one step..  it's OK..   but somewhere I saw an attachment that one could hang onto it to provide a second lower step..   Now I'm not yet completely unable to use the step as is..  haha.. However, would anyone know where I could purchase the aforementioned item..?

Many thanks..   Geoff.

When I had the Jayco, I made a solid little box out of ply that fitted in the step cavity when travelling (Looked similar to a Kleenex tissue box) the base allowed it to sit firmly on sandy soil and provide a solid step to enter van. The hand-hole in top made it easy to lift in and out.

Thanks guys.. good suggestions.. I've actually got a folding step that I put in front of the fitted step.. Currently it's in a park in S.A. waiting for my next visit.. haha.. Just as I was packing up, the resident park gasbag (and isn't there always one of those.?) turned up for a yarn and my attention was somewhat diverted.. Drove off and left the thing there.. I've seen the hook on second step somewhere but damned if I can find it now.. I might try some of the RV suppliers. Happy travelling.. Geoff.

For that price, I'd suggest it better to remove the single step and buy a double step (as long as it is the same width as the one you remove).  I've just done this and it makes it so much easier to get into the van - as well it is all in one and not something else you need to store somewhere.

Thanks David.. that's just what I was looking for.. And thank you too Treecrest.. If the original one wasn't welded on I'd certainly take your suggestion.. Storing bits and pieces is always a pain.. Cheers, Geoff.
