Van Rebuild.

Hi All,

thought i might do a quick update on the old van, doesn't look like much is going on but slowly but surely it is happening. I have fitted most of the interior lighting and started making over head cabinets and seating to house the batteries, charger and inverter. In the pictures that i have attached you will see the partition which separates the sleeping quarters from the rest of the van that is what i am working on at the moment, once that is finished i will be able to fit the kitchen cabinets with any luck.

Kind Regards,

Alan.20180526_110433.jpg20180526_110546.jpg20180529_140356.jpg

Look'n real good there Alan. I like the way the lights change colour. I'm glad they turn blue though and not red but then again you might have a red one outside confusebiggrin

Keep the updates and pics coming as they are great. Thankyou.

Hi all,

Thank you for the compliments, the lights in the van can be operated from the switch near the door to turn them all off or on but you can also turn then off or on at the light them selves if you don't require them all on at the same time, you can turn them to the blue mode the idea is to use as night lights if required. The two roof lights in the sleeping area are also capable of dimming, the small reading lights also do the blue thing as well.

I fitted the front seat box where the batteries will be housed and also the overhead cabinet where a control panel will be today as you will see in the pics attached, and then it happened i took a fall stepping out the van. Confuses say man using milk crate on sawdust covered concrete floor ####ing idiot. I stepped from the foot well onto the milk crate the crate skidded my bum bounced on the edge of the foot well then onto the concrete floor gravity helping in a big way and yes it hurt but while this was happening my feet hit the off cuts of paneling leaning against the wall causing them to fall on me also. Now while you are all picking your selves up off the floor in fits of laughter i am okay but my pride is a bit sore and yes i have had a few laughs about it myself. Oh and i still have to fit the ends on the cabinets yet as they are still drying.

Kind Regards,20180530_135748.jpg20180530_135757.jpg
