Road conditions from Cloncurry to Gregory Downs

I am new to this forum and have just signed up to use the forum and I look forward to reading the stories that unfold on these pages.

We are heading to Darwin in a few weeks and after Darwin we will be heading back to Cloncurry and then up to Adele Grove and then further onto Karumba, I would like to know the road surface and condition of the bitumen along that section. If someone could fill me in that would be great.

Many thanks Shane

The Burke Developmental Road to Burke and Wills Roadhouse and the Wills Development Road to Gregory Downs are both reasonably good sealed roads, dual width with no real problems. After Gregory Downs to Adels Grove is gravel, fairly wide and at this time of year usually in reasonable condition, with some corrugations but not too bad, suitable for towing vans of any type as long as you drive to conditions. Lawn Hill National Park is a very special place, enjoy!
