Sunglasses while hunting

Does anyone wear sunglasses while hunting? If so, which ones? Any experience in this field? They make non reflective camo ones for hunting, saw them in a hunting mag.

Spot on Dogbox - a ringer. Most probably looking for a cheap plug of product. That sort of thing can have bad results.

Why would any GN's want to go hunting? I would have thought most of us would be over that sort of thing by now. These people have to find another forum for their posts.

Hi Dave , there would be a few GM's on here who love to go hunting.

I love to hunt ferrel pigs although i haven't been out for some time now .Ferrel pigs are a huge problem in Australia.

I have seen ferrel pigs go into a dam for stock watering and they have made such a mess when they finished

that the stock couldn't use the dam again . That is only one example . Hunt and kill all ferrel pigs i say.furiousfuriousfuriousfurious

I like you BM like to hunt - fortunately I can do it at home. It has become almost impossible to (legally) carry a firearm whilst travelling, even with a lock box in the vehicle. We tend to get a lot of pigs wandering in out of the National Parks that do a lot of damage. They can root up half a paddock in one night - but we can't go in the NP to get them.

Don't need sunglasses here in Sth Tassie for night hunting of wallaby, possums & rabbits.

If you don't have a permit for night hunting here the abovementioned animals are so prolific your pasture or cropping is devastated & not viable.

Could somebody please explain to me what the problem is with hunting. Many of us do it (ethnically) and have been doing so for all our life. Last time that I checked it was legal. We all make sure that we adhere to the law- guns registered and safely stored, do not exceed bag limits and take only legal game. I also fish. Again, is there a problem or am I missing something?

There is nothing wrong with hunting 2trout ,just as long as it's done ethically .There are lots of people out there who are anti gun , anti everything.

My ancestors and yours too began hunting game thousands and thousands of years ago, lol . Hunting is in the human DNA.

Yes, I agree Blues Man, I just wondered why previous participants got this person delisted and made anti hunting comments?

Trevor, the deleted post was purely a self promotion from a commercial form. That sort of thing is not permitted on this forum (and most others I participate in.) Cindy finances this web site from companies who pay for their advertising on it. Why do you think free loaders should be permitted to add their own promotions?

In addition I did not make any "anti hunting comments." Why did you word your reply to suggest I did? I only see one participant that made any significant "anti hunting comment." Why did you use the plural form?

PeterD, Thank you for your explanation. I did not realise that this was an advertisement. No problem if that is the case. As a matter of interest how did you realise that it was an ad?

Sorry if I used plural instead of singular. I was not referring to your comments, but I was offended by Dave1952 who asked "why would any GN go hunting?". This suggests to me that he is opposed not only to hunting but to anybody who goes hunting. I am talking about the vast majority of GN who are good citizens and hunting is their chosen sport. Thoroughly agree with Blue Man.

Anyhow, I do not want to start an argument; just make a point about hunting.

His posting had a link to a site selling sunglasses. I frequently report these interlopers. Cindy is quick to rid the forum of these unauthorised adverts and usually deletes their membership as well.

Enjoy your hunting.

I hunt quite a bit!

A good portion of my ummm ... Nomadding (?) ... is based around hunting trips.

I use plain safety glasses as sunnies both for hunting and driving.

edit:  apologies for the grave-dig  biggrin
