I have a Colorado but not a 7 and love it. I looked at the Isuzu Dmax just as the MUX came out and liked that too. The price was what won with the collie in the end.
The 7 and Mux would do the job at hand with eze. One thing to look into is the Drive Belt/Chain. The Colorado has a belt as I assume the 7 whould have too and needs to be changed around 120k. The Dmax had a chain as I would assume the MUX has too and they say doesn't need changing. Worth a thought.
I looked at and test drove so many tugs I got myself confused in the end between them both and the money saved at the time will probably be gulped up when I change the belt.

Thanks for the reply Doug
Re the belt change - just stay away from dealers when the time comes. When I had to get one done on a LandCruiser some time ago the local mechanic I used was about a quarter the cost that the Toyota dealer quoted.
Either of the two nominated vehicles would do a good job, boils down to personal choice and best price at the end of the day.
I would buy the MUX myself, as I think Isuzu has reliability(I've had two Dmax utes over past 9 years no issues) on its side compared with the Holden, but again that is just personal choice.
