At the risk of asking the impossible question, I'll do it anyway.
I have no experience caravanning at this stage, but had decided a 19.6 ft van would be the size I'd buy. Note: I'm not planning on going off road except for the odd free camp site.
Since then I've had a bit of feedback, mostly saying 19.6 is great for weekends away and maybe a week or two, but if you plan to tour for many weeks, maybe many months, then a bigger van becomes more desirable, even necessary. I don't want to tow more than I need to, but I have to agree the bigger vans feel great inside, especially the slide out bed models. So now I'm considering a 21.65
Yes we have a condensation problem with the slide-out, probably due to the cold outside temperature, human breath, or heaters on inside the van. Ours is a 2014 or 15 model but 24.75 model. I would be checking for any wear with the suspension bushes, I say that because the grease nipples are straight type, and are hard to grease. I have changed ours so they are easier to get a grease gun on. Check cupboard and draws, hinges and catches for damage, the screws can pull out of the hinges, we have had trouble with the draw latch strikes not catching and the draws flying out when on the move. However all of these are easily addressed if you are practical.
I have just replaced the door lock tumbler, that was broken inside. Check the shower pan cracks and damage, if the shower head has not been placed on the floor during travel, it can jump out of the bracket fall, and damage the pan.
hi iana , Thanks for info on showerhead, said to noreen that has not happened to us . WRONG it has ,but no damage she puts laundry basket in shower with showerhead in basket .
Hi Mickle, good to hear you are happy with your purchase and the dealer.
We bought our 21.65.3 Silverline from Hall's in July '16 and are still very happy with it.
I have done several mods to make it a very good Off Grid caravan.
I am surprised to hear they put your gas bayonet in an inconvenient position as I thought they realised that mistake in 2014/15 as many owners complained and the dealers repositioned them at no charge. Ours was fitted just inside wall level so it can be connected without even getting onto one knee.
I can say the ONLY issue we have had was the knob that closes the shower vent failed which could have been due to being overtightened, they replaced it anyway.
Cheers Neil

Hi Delta 18 , Halls caravans are good to deal with ,nothing is to much of a problem. 1000w solar , 400ah litium batts sounds like a good set up, I have 260 on van and 300 on BT50 , have the same 2000projector and same inverter. bought a honda generator have not used it . Enjoy your Silverline as we Noreen and I are .
