What is life if full of care/ We have no time to stop and stare...

Yesterday, I spent the morning fishing the coast of Lincoln National Park... catching salmon in a drizzle. But, the day was made when a small Sea Lion pup came swimming along, bounding in and out of the water, like a new-born colt on winter morning, so full of energy.

He (she?) made two loops around the small bay I was fishing and then, on the last lap, stopped and turned back to look me over, with what I swear was a grin. In my mind I heard a child's voice, "Wow! How fast was I ?"

Got a huge smile on my face at the vision of it. Thanks PoggyLu!

Good to see that you are enjoying yourself, in the drizzle, PoggyLu

I still remember a bit of that poem, from my school days

What is this life if full of care
We have no time to stand and stare
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows

The teacher said that it was written, in the times of the horse and cart
The author thought that everyone was speeding along too fast
