Ducato Tourer

Our latest Motorhome is a 2014 LWB Ducato, just converted to a Motorhome in Feb 2018. 3 litre engine with auto transmission. Lucky to find a base vehicle that has now done only 29,000 kms

No, we never do anything the same, and this time we have included a Wallas diesel stove, with an in-built heater - something new and I had bever seen such a setup before. The stove looks like those in the Trakka motorhomes.

The heater uses the stove top and fresh air is blown over it beneath a heat resistant cover - produces a lot of heat.

This time we have a separate bedroom with the shower/toilet coming out from the driver's side forming the wall.

We also used a Saturn amplified TV aerial, 24 inch TV,  a 3.5 metre.Thule Awning. 170 litres fresh water and 80 litre of grey. 110 litre compressor fridge/freezer, 320 watts of solar, 224 ah AGM house batteries. diesel hot water system.

Two electric bikes fold and fit under the bed

No - none of the big manufacturers make anything like it.

I don't know if your 2014 Ducato has the same computer set up as the later 2016 model.

I bumped into a couple in the Snowy Mountains who travelled there from Nowra in their just delivered Jayco MH based on the 2016 Ducato.

They hit a big Pothole and the engine went into Limp Home Mode. Cost them 24 hrs lost trying to find out at the side of the road how to sort out the problem. Apparently the NRMA phoned Fiat Australia and couldn't get an answer and they phoned Fiat in Italy to find out the procedure. Which I am told was relatively simple. Good on the NMRA for doing that.

I just wondered if it would be a good idea to know the procedure in case it happens to you.

Not knocking your choice of vehicle at .Just seemed to be an idea to know how to reset the engine/gearbox . I wonder if any other Fiat owners know the procedure that can pass it on?

Cheers
