I have the GME TX 3350 and have done for many moons now. I wouldn't leave home without it. If I had to replace at any stage it would be the same brand for sure.

Plus one for the GME TX 3350. The headpiece controls mean it can be located anywhere and free up dashboard real estate. GME's Ultra Value Packs comes with everything so look for them when buying. Of you are in no hurry, absolute steals appear online at time so check every few days. Ryda have a good price currently.
Got to agree with Dougwe and dabbler. The TX3350 is a great little unit.
I have used uhf radios for many years and GME have never let me down.
There are other good brands around (and some probably not so good) but if you like the GME then go for it.

I have the TX3100 & am extremely happy with the quality. Mine did not come with an antenna, so brought a different brand as the GME antenna was not available at the time. Rough roads in the Vic High Country saw that antenna have a shorter life than expected. Now have a GME antenna & it is far superior as well.
If I change vehicles I will buy GME again as they have served me well.
We have had our GME split-system radio for 15 yrs now and it is still performing beautifully The great thing about Aussie made is the number of dealers & repair places around Oz should it ever need a small 'squeak'
Ours has been into the dealers twice over 15 yrs - each repair was 1/2- hour labour plus a few dollars for parts ... making it heaps cheaper than buying an imported unit that is chucked away when a diode or a transistor fails
Because the built-in speaker on most 2-way radios is small, it often is a bit hard to hear, so we have plugged a $2 ex-computer speaker into the earfone socket and put the speaker on the dashboard for easy listening
