Hi all, we stopped at Merimbula last week { decided against Tathra luckily } and thought the NRMA park looked like good. When we asked about filling in the Centerlink rent assistance form they informed us that management has informed all MRMA parks not to sign them . Anyone else come across this ? No reason given .
We manage parks and we sign the forms but only for the dates that are applicable to stay with us , we had one guy that rang and wanted to know if we signed the forms , I said thats ok , he turned up and said he'd stay for the 1 x night only and then put his form in front of me with open ended dates and asked me to sign it . I said I would but that it had to reflect the length of stay 1 x night . He got the huffs on and went back out to his free camp . Its people like him that wreck it for the " honest folk ".
Surely a call to NRMA head office for clarification would be the go. Possibly contact Centrelink for a comment may assist.
We thought the same , 2 calls later still non the wiser. Centrelink don't want to know and NRMA state its company policy, probably some boffin with a degree in stupidly had a brain fart.
