There are a couple of other videos on my YouTube channel that other Aussies are saying they enjoyed too, mainly the ones about fishing. I try to give tips on the location, rigs, bait etc so they like that but there are others that might interest you too.
Love the clip , soooo much better than a few pics , also love the soundtrack it really adds something , your've inspired me to go out and buy a drone to record our travels as we go so our kids can see it . How much practice do you need to get to the stage your at and what machine would you consider a good entry level unit ?
As Doug has already pointed out, a lot of us who go part time travelling, and a lot of permanent travellers, do not have a lot of bandwidth, when on the road

We loved the West Coast and Southern WA. You can see the Bunda Cliffs from a couple of spots close to the road where you won't need a 4wd and there's still plenty to see and do in that stretch. Enjoy your trip. Cheers Col.

I chose video because they add something extra to the story we get to tell and as mezza says, video is better than pictures. I've had a few people mention that some of the Grey Nomad community has limited band width and fair call. However, a growing number of people we're meeting are embracing new technology and finding alternatives to being able to use it. I've got an IT background and am learning lots about mobile comms from Grey Nomads.
YouTube will automatically drop the resolution of a video to cope with low band width too and a 144p video uses less than 2MB a minute. But the quality is pretty poor! For those without much data on their mobile plan then they can go to a free wifi spot when there in town e.g. macca's and binge!! Ha ha.
Anyway, for those who can then I hope they do enjoy the vlogs. And those that can't then there's always Kris's blog (see the link below), which isn't as band width hungry!!

I really enjoy making the videos for vlog and the funny thing is I get to see the place we're at from a different angle myself.
I have a DJI Spark. It has a bunch of features to compensate for the beginners lack of skills. I have a son-in-law who is a professional videographer who helped with choosing this drone and helping me with all aspects of creating them. But, let me tell you the learning curve has been steep. If you do do this as part of your trip then there are 3 parts to it. 1. Learning to fly the drone. 2. Learning about the videography (like photography but with moving pictures). and 3. Editing the videos.
However, don't let anything I say put you off and just go for it.
