any body been to Tasmania nth west and travelled the drive from Arthur river to corinna and up to savage river lately, is ok for rv travel, sounds like a lovely place to see .
do it often, my back yard. Good drive, can be a bit slippery with loose stone on the gravel road. Better drive if you use the punt and keep going to Strahan
cheers

ps
covers button grass plains to rain forest that thick you wont walk through, going past a few old mining towns
Yes it would be ok but need to take it nice and easy, take note of the fuel distances at last service stations and expect a slow trip but its real pretty. Can overnight at Corinna, also a river cruise there (worth doing) as well as a pub that does a good feed. cheers blaze
ps last fuel would be at Redpa or Marrawah prior to aurther river

Hi Blaze, sorry to miss you mate while I was in Tassie. Took an earlier Ferry back to the mainland for a house-sitting position on Kangaroo Island for nine months. Went from up your way Stanley travelled along the road nicknamed 'the Silicon Highway' before I left. It sure is a beautiful drive to Corinna- but glad I had decent tyres as the road was rather rugged, long and windy travelling between hills and valleys. Came across some really slow drivers too, they don't seem to want to pull over to let you pass.
Also have some cash ready for the $25.00 slug for a five minute Corinna ferry ride, (one-way) it came to me as rather a big shock. But other than that there were many 2x wheel drive vehicles along the way.
Word of warning....Had a few hairy experiences where drivers were not very experienced at staying on the left-hand side of the road, especially around the sharp bends. Think they were O/S tourists and got confused in a sudden emergency, came across to my side of the road!! Tried warning other drivers on the CB 40 but received nil response. Have a safe one and good luck!! Gwynnie
