I have a faulty fan which I am trying to remove, however getting the two retaining screws out is proving somewhat problematic. The screw heads will not protrude proud of the fan to enable me to pull / prise them out. I have previously taken the fan down and don't recall having any problems. Any ideas???
I assume the fan is taken down and you want to get the mounting screws out so if you can get a metal punch or an allen key to press on the point of the screw while unscrewing with a screwdriver

To err is human but to really mess things up, you need a computer.
Get something to put between base and wall pry it out until tensioned, resume unscrewing until free all the time keeping tension up, just be prepared to grab fan as the last screw gives way.
