• You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes.

• Homes on Elleker-Grasmere Road will be UNDER THREAT by fire in 30 minutes.

• The fire started near the intersection of ELLEKER-GRASMERE ROAD and LOWER DENMARK ROAD in ELLEKER.

• It is burning towards Lake Powell Nature Reserve.

• BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR:

  • The bushfire is moving fast in a westerly direction.

  • It is out of control and unpredictable.

  • Burning embers are likely to be blown around your home. Spot fires are starting up to two kilometres metres ahead of the fire.

  There is spotting up to five kilometres in front of the fire.

  A number of roads have been closed including:

  • Elleker-Grasmere Road between Lower Denmark Road and Mutton Bird Road

  Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.

  UPDATE  8.00pm  wst....

  • The bushfire is moving slowly in a westerly direction.

  • It is contained but not controlled.
