Question please would the 3LTR Mitsubishi Challenger 2001 engine be good for towing a 1600 KG van also the challenger is manual your thoughts please.

You will have to check the compliance plate. 2001 Ghallengers had many different models, diesel, petrol, manual and automatic, one reason why they never were popular. Don't get me wrong, I own a 2013 model and can't fault it, but you need to find out what model you have and track it down from there. Sorry I can't help.

Hi I have 2016 Deisel auto Challenger and it tows our 2400 ATM van beautifully. Your 1600kg van won't be any problem. Rod.

Thanks Rod i do believe they are much under rated but have never towed with it anything bigger then a tandem trailer being manual and petrol do you think it would still do the same job as is only a 3tr
