Nullarbor Links Golf Course

Hi Everyone. I am about to cross the Nullarbor in February and plan to play the golf course on the way across as I am in no hurry. People have told me some of the holes/tees are hard to find even though the website gives you information.

Are some of the holes difficult to find? Has anyone who has played it got any guidance? Has anyone taken GPS Coordinates or know of any.

Any info would be appreciated.

Hi John, thanks I have all that sort of info but I hear on the grapevine that some of the holes are difficult to find.

G'day. I don't golf but have recently crossed the Nullabor and the holes were clearly marked.
Cheers.

Col, did you open Rocky's link and click on the orange link labelled "Play the Course?" That produces a PDF document with more directions. Some of the holes are on golf cources where you need to pre-book just the two holes (and dress codes apply.)

Hi Peter. Yes I have all that info on the link. It is just some friends have told me some of the holes were hard to find and they gave up looking. Perhaps the powers to be have fixed that problem with more signage.

What will introduce a little difficulty in finding the holes is the fairway maps on that web site are not in the correct orientation. I note that Dingo's Den shows you hitting towards the NE. Last time I was there you hit off from near Nullarbor Homestead and head south to the northern end of the caravan park at the roadhouse.

Hi Col. you should find the tees ok, but finding the greens presents a little more of a challenge on some holes. At least it is a a 'fun' distraction to break up the trip. As stated earlier, the last or first depending on direction of travel is Broken Hill and you do need to book a tee time. I played 9 as it is a great course and if your last, helps make it more enjoyable.

Sorry Brian, but unless things have changed, Broken Hill doesn't make it into the Nullarbor Links. See the link Rockylizard attached.

First hole from west is at Kalgoorlie, and first from east is at Ceduna.

You obviously played the 19th at Broken Hill!

Good luck - I have managed the 3rd at Fraser - all my other trips it has been way too hot or blowing a sandstorm :) I did have trouble finding the one at Eucla - found the course but took a while to work out which 'official' hole.....

Thanks guys. Maybe if I find each tee I might take a gps reading.

Ooooooops, thanks for the correction Ian. Must have been too many Red wines had me in the wrong mining town. Will have to refrain from sharing my wisdom ( in writing ) after happy hour has started ha ha ha. Have fun Col and enjoy the driving breaks.
