Instant/constant hot water services?

Hi everyone,

Hope you've all had a ripper Xmas and Happy New Year for tomorrow..

We have our van now and it has a Truma HWS with about 14lts in the tank, and we are going to change it to an instant HWS (after a day of shearing we need more than a bucket of hot water to feel clean, lol.. )

Truma have one, about $2K, not too concerned about price, just want something reliable that gives good hot water!

Interested in what others have and what you recommend?

Cheers! biggrin

Real hot water can only be produced in a hurry by large killerwasps.
You won't create those killerwasps with electricity which is why electric HWS all have storage.
Talk to a plumber about instant domestic gas hot water and be prepared to change the bottles every few days.
Oh, you will need water as well confuse

Have had one of those (they are all the same sort of thing and price), OK for medium pressure luke warm shower.

If you turn the flow down to a dribble the temperature is acceptable.

Personal preferences here of course, some are happy with lukewarm dribble, some not.

Not much of a stretch to fit a proper domestic instantanious unit in a box and plumb it in. Pretty common on bus conversions.

I'm surprised your Truma doesn't give enough hot water for a reasonable shower, it should. Have you had it checked out? Is there a temperature setting on it that can be adjusted.

We have the Suburban 22l hot water system and on either gas or electric it gives plenty of hot water.

Gday...

After a long day's shearing as stated ... usually in hot, dusty, dirty conditions ... I don't think a Truma/Suburban would last long enough.

Cheers - John

Thanks, as I said in the original post - it is only about 14lts, not 22lts, so VERY limited hot water, especially on a cold day..

And John, you are spot-on, after a day in the shearing shed, you are filthy dirty, sore, smelly and feel like you can never wash the lanolin off your body, lol..

Thanks again, I'll keep searching.. :)
