RE: The secrets of storing Kitchen ware in a caravan.

When you get to the storing of crockery remember this approach .. easy & no effort.  Once the items are washed after use they go into their travel position.  All within easy reach of the sink & dining table.

I found the racks at a sell out at a hardware store.

Now that's fantastic Cupie, and I totally agree, putting items away should not be a stress test each time. Thought and effort into the initial set up can save so much energy and effort down the line.

We specifically didn't want an oven and instead got a pot drawer. Like everyone else we use non-slip matting between everything and line everywhere with it. Our Weber Baby Q can do everything an oven would. We also carry a turbo glass oven, very handy as it is possible to grill in it too. We use good quality melamine plates and good quality plastic wine glasses. We do have 2 glass ones which we carry in plastic containers. Everything is kept to a minimum as we try not to carry too much; keeps the weight down.

Thanks for the comments.

The green baskets on top of the Fridge are usually full of fruit when we are on the road.  The non slip matting under them holds them in place.  They don't budge.

I think that my old 'time & motion' studies come into play when I set up the van or do any mods.

I don't have the problem, use paper pots and pans heats up much faster. The smoke alarm lets me no when it's ready.
