Christmas in the Warranbool Port Fairy area

Does anyone have any ideas on where to have Christmas dinner in Warrnambool or Port Fairy this year. We are planning on being in the Warrnambool-Port Fairy area and would like to try a local restaurant.

Phil

Try the Caledonian Inn (The Stump) in Port Fairy. Full of character, one of the oldest pubs in VIC & great atmosphere.

Meals are lovely. We've been there many times, as we have three branches of our family in the town. You'd need to book SOON.

Warnambool RSL has my vote. Always a good meal. I try and go to RSL's as much as possible.

Hello Phil,
Regardless as to where you have your Christmas dinner (we had a very nice self catered one three years ago in the seaside park across the road from the caravan parks at Warrnambool with my daughter (lives there), my sister & family & son with his family from Canberra) - DO NOT bypass COBB'S BAKERY in Port Fairy. Their pies are scrumptious!

Do you have a site booking in the area right now. You should be worrying more about that than an eatery.

Thank you for the advice. The RSL is closed for Christmas as it seems are most establishments. So may have to do our own thing.

I have alternatives for accommodation and won't be staying in the caravan parks.
Jacqueline wanted to go to the beach but we could change our minds and have Christmas with the gang at the Veterans Retreat at Dareton NSW if all else fails.
At the moment we are in Rainbow Vic preparing to head off.
