HILL Top Golf and Country Club, Tatura, Victoria

Gday...

Just saw this news article -

Tatura VIC.JPG

Just to give some perspective to that profit -

  • $57,367 = $157/night operating profit;
  • 12 sites X $25 = $300/night (if all sites filled every night - highly improbable);
  • all sites filled every night = $109,500 gross income;
  • that would equate to 52% net profit - assuming the Treasurer's Report 'operating' profit is net.

if only half full EVERY night -

  • 6 sites X $25 = $150/night;
  • therefore $54,750 gross income.
  • which would be an annual operating loss of at least $2,555 - without cost of providing electricity/water etc etc etc.

It must be a very successful van park ... or a very creative treasurer.

Praps the journo got it wrong ... praps that is the overall operating profit of the Golf and Country Club rather than just the van park. confuse

Cheers - John

Yep, got the mathematics wrong but put it this way, who in hell would want to stay at Tatura anyway?

We have relatives on a dairy farm there, it's not exactly a tourist destination unless you enjoy looking at cows, weeds & irrigation channels.cowtwo.gifcowtwo.gif

Must be a reasonably popular place. There are three parks around town.

the question asks who would want to stay at Tatura? I did with friends in our caravans, playing golf ,bowls enjoying the hospitality in the club house with well priced drinks fantastic food .6 weeks later a group from our golf club in Gippsland went back for the Queens Birthday weekend with open fires ( all wood supplied by club).  NOW the SECRET IS OUT nono                                                                                                                                                                                           Regards Brian
