I use the Super Cheap Auto ones that clamp on to existing mirror search.supercheapauto.com.au/search%20towing%20mirrors I note they are currently not in stock but your local store may still have some.
I leave the clamp fitted to mirror at all times and just slide mirror stalk out when not towing. Been using same set fornearly 10 years and only removed when I changed Patrols.

I have used several different types over the years but the Milenco Grand aeros I have been using for the last 5 years are definitely the best so far. I fit them like in the attached pic and have no issues with blowback or excessive vibrations.

We were using Ora mirrors for 4 years with & without the diagonal strut to the door. Strap around mirror, suction cup to door type.

After mishaps on every trip we did including one of them almost being run over by a road train we pensioned them off. Basically they were rubbish & we got sick of pulling over & walking back to pick them up.

We now use a cheap pair of mirrors that we've had sitting in the shed for 20 years bought from Autobarn for around $10. They work perfect, no movement all of this year 15,000kms including a 5,000km trip from Melbourne to Rockhampton & back.

Also have a set of Grand Aeors best bye yet .We had clear view previously but they donât make them for the Sahara. I rate the Grand Aries better and easy to instal and remove.

There are so many models of the Milencos Grand Aeros mirrows.

Wind noise? I have clearview mirrors and no wind noise. What sort of wind noise are you experiencing? With a window up or down? No windows open or one window open just? Harmonics in modern cars are a problem because they are designed to be driven with all windows closed and air conditioner on!

I have the flat had them for 5 years easy to attach and remove and don't look ugly like clearview , I have am sure clearview work great but a lot of money to make the tug you spent a lot of money on look ugly .

I agree. It is obvious that Clearview mirrors have much that users find useful.

However, I find it imponderable why they have to be SO big ! 

Surely, they could have been made more to the size of the 'standard' mirror on vehicles ... rather than have copied the mirrors on F250/Silverado/RAM etc.

There is absolutely no reason for their size ... it isn't required to provide clear view of the road behind a towed van - given, as we all know, the 'clip-on' varieties provide very good to excellent rearward view for towing.

I see their only attribute is that they are fixed to the vehicle, are adjustable electrically (but only if the vehicle has that as standard already) and can be retracted and folded in when not needed for towing ... or when parking. I reckon they would have to be folded back against the vehicle before leaving them in any supermarket carpark. 

As I said, they can provide a good rearward vision WITHOUT being so damned big and absolutely butt-ugly. OH and did I say damned expensive ??

I use the Milenco mirrors with flat glass, very happy with them, once adjusted easy to remove and refit. Remember to remove mirrors when not towing.....or you could cop a fine

Hi Changed to milenco on a trip north best mirrors I have used simple to attach and also not  a lot of vibration ,and cost is good .I have spent a big part of my working life using mirrors ,driving trucks and I find these mirrors very good.i don't get paid for this add ,hehe.mike g

I have been caravanning for over fifty years and after having many sets of various mirrors I bought the Clearview mirrors three years ago and had them fitted by ARB to my 200 series Cruiser.
There has been no problems with air noise or hitting other mirrors on other vehicles.
The only reason in my mind that people make inane comments about them is that they dont want to pay the price.
As far as i am concerned they are well worth the money.
