I am having a problem getting a frying pan hot using propane gas. I was wondering if cooking with Butane Gas would give a higher temperature ?

If you Google propane/butane you will find the flame temperature of both gases is identical. Desert Dweller is on the money.
Good Luck.
Almost, but you will get a smaller amount of calorific value the more altitude and cold you get to using pure butane. All things with lpg depend on jetting and the larger the jet, the more air required; so get a stove with larger burners.
But this is against the objectives of the tiny throw away bottles that will be used a lot quicker with a large burner. These stoves are set for economy not greater heat. Greater heat with a throw away stove works. But it is the owner that gets thrown, all to often.
