Some information gleaned from another site:

1. About a half hour from Tamworth NSW, heading toward Quirindi, is the Currabubula Hotel.

This is a really nice, friendly hotel with an excellent restaurant and a cafe.

It is 700 metres to the free camp which was installed by the Liverpool Plains Council. It has hot showers, flushing toilets, a BBQ and picnic tables. All available 24hrs.

It's a pleasant walk to the pub, but the publican / owner will collect you and transport you back if you prefer not to walk. It's a lovely village and very safe to stroll.

The menu has regular specials and the meals are very good indeed. Excellent coffee and cake to follow from the cafe.

2. Attunga Hotel, Called The Round House for its unique style. Halfway between Tamworth & Manilla, in NW NSW. Shady area across from pub, toilets.

Meals available at pub. Pet friendly. 10 mins to town. Small shop and PO in this village of approx. 350

3. Somerton Tavern. Between Tamworth and Gunnedah on Oxley Highway. Plenty of room for all size rigs.

Don't ask me to expand on any of the info

Jeff

That's good info Jeff thanks for sharing those 24hr rest stops come in handy, particularly the Currabubula one for me.
