Hi everyone,

We are thinking of going to this area mid May 2018 and was wondering if anybody had been there at this time of year ? Any advise in travellinganks at this time. We will be travelling up from Perth.

Thanks in anticipation of any reply.

Weve been there in April and its warm. It is one of the most stunning places in WA. The last place to stock up on supplies at something like Perth prices is Carnarvon, however there are couple IGAs in Exmouth. Mobile reception may have improved out there by next May as Telstra are installing a new tower.

We were at Ningaloo in Sep this year so can't help with May but imagine it would be perfect. Osprey is a beautiful camp ground but you need to book well in advance. All campsites were full every night when we were there. If it is warm the beach at Osprey is perfect for cooling off. The IGA supermarkets in Exmouth are ecxellent

Hi Splottboy,

Ningaloo is one of our favourites. We spent 10 weeks there this year from early April. first 4 days 37-8 without any wind. VERY HOT living in a large cabin tent. You need tons of fresh drinking water.

May is still HOT. Our best advice is to take minimum of 2 fans $12 each from The big green Shed. They turn red/brown very quick. We drop ours off to Mrs Mac's in Exmouth on departure to raise $ for the RFD.

Take your goggles and flippers Plus water boots. The water Temp in the lagoon 30deg.

We have been in May and the weather was in our opinion fairly perfect. The days are hot, but the nights were pleasant. Do make sure you book as soon as you are sure you are going, sites book out very quickly there.

After being advised, we booked 5 months ago !!**? thanks, we cant wait to get there. We are currently at beautiful Bulara Station, then off to Exmouth for a few days to pick up some last minute provisions, then Osprey Bay for 10 days...

we only have 100litre fresh water and 100 litre grey water tanks, but just bought soap that's kind to the environment and us when we have a quick wash in the salt water in the bay !!!!
