I'll second Gwyder caravan park. Well worth trying to spend two nights there to take advantage of the thermal pools. If heading that direction I always organize myself to be able to spend two or three nights there. There's a great tavern with good meals a short walk , also a cafe on site.
Cheers Pete

WikiCamps seems to indicate it is an overflow park. Do you know if you can use it when Gwydir is not full? (It's about 1/2 the price of Gwydir.)

We stayed at the second Gwydir Caravan Park in Moree a couple of months back and it was half price. We were given the choice of which park we stayed at and we could visit the pools at both parks. The price reduction I believe is a promotional thing while they are constructing the park for any inconvienience but we wern't inconvenienced and had an enjoyable stay. The park was under construction but the part where you set up is completed.
