What is the ball weight and is the Prado overloaded?

Also what sort of suspension, leaf spring or torsion? What size tyres on the van?

I assume both the car or the van are affected. But where are you scraping? On the towbar (car), the coupling (van) or the rear (van)? Does your van have a rear entry?
To level my van, I had to use a drop hitch. I have issues with my driveway & the Woolworths Caltex at St George. To ease the problem I turn to the right instead of the left - it changes the angle slightly.

I have Airbagman HD airbags on my Patrol (I refuse to use a WDH) & they have definitely stiffened up the suspension with the van on. The maximum pressure I can put in them is just less than 60psi but the most, I've put in them is 25. At 60, I would be better off inserting a stump!

Sit your car and van. COUPLED. Ready to roll in your eyes......
on a level flat road. Your drive. wherever.

Go round each wheel and measure from road surface up to bottom of wheel arches on car.
and corners of van to ground.

Then what's the gap between bottom of hitch UNDER the ball. to ground.

Difference of centre rear of van to ground. Then same at front of BODY of van to ground.

Lay out on a chart.

Then you'll see If\What is Level.

One or other tilted front
ear.

Ground clearance at different points.

Whether van needs jacking UP on susp. (Rotating axle. top mount axles.
Build up chassis rails.etc.

Play with car susp. front
ear, or both.

What is under both would help about here thank you.

If you having problems.
Diagram your whole rig on one piece of (preferably) Graph paper.
Rather than playing with bits at a time.

You can see where your problem\s possibly is\are.

THEN take to suspension place. IF you don't know a shocker from a spring shackle.
Get advice.
and see what YOU can do yourself first.

Reducing cost a bit.

Other wise. You could get some advice here. but not all of us are accurate.

ME. I ALWAYS do myself. go overkill.
Never broken down or had an accident with a rig.

But done if for over 50 yrs and had a little practice in such.

Just DONT go crazy on air pressure in bags !! Esp on leaf spring type .
