HARROW VICTORIA

I am currently staying a small town of Harrow in Victoria.

$8 per night includes free showers, washing machine, bbq.  Lovely walking trails and lots of history, some good and not so good!

Glenelg River has lots of variety of fish and the Kookaburras singing first thing in the morning - bliss.

Helen smile

Hows it all going Helen? Motorhome ok? Managing to get the hang of it all? We are in Perth, well Yanchep National Park - about 45k north of Perth, no dogs, pensioner concession - $7 per vehicle admission to the park, then $7 per person to camp. Toilets, hot showers, walking tracks, caves, koalas, roos.

Good spot.

Hi Jules,  The van is going really well, still getting use to it and am finding good things out about it all the time.  Have to get the courage up to get over to WA one day.  Yanchep NP sounds good but travel with my buddy 'Boo', so National Parks are out so far.

Maybe next year will travel up to FNQ need to check out Cooktown.  So many places to go and time gets shorter!!

We will have to catch up one day.

Take care and travel safely.

Helen

Hi Helen,

Sounds like you are just setting off on your trip in this big country. Welcome to the road.

My advice, for what it's worth, is to just point the vehicle in the direction you fancy and head that way. There is always a place to pull over and stay the night somewhere on the way and if you really like a place then don't be afraid to say I'm staying here a week or two. You don't have to move every day. I met a chap that I had followed here before I set off in 2012 called John (Yeo11) and his travels inspired me. He has the attitude of just go and do it and appreciate it.

I hope that you have fun, safe and exciting travels. If you see Plodnalong on the front of an old Patrol do say HI.

Andy

Hi Andy and Hi Helen  biggrin  you can access John's blogs on this forum, under the Blog section - it is Yeoeleven - google it and see what you find, John is one of my best friends, love him dearly, he is an amazing man - his blogs focus on predominately on free camping - he has had some adventures.

johns fish.jpg Took him 80 years to catch an edible fish - and look at what he got at Copeton Dam, NSW, earlier this year!!!!!!
