When the old Western Highway from Ballarat to Melbourne went through Bacchus Marsh is was a compulsory toilet & ice cream stop. The old highway was a nightmare and took over 2 hours. Needed a break. According to the naysayers, Bacchus Marsh was going to die when the Freeway bypassed it. Could not have been more wrong.
