Probably a bit wet, cold & muddy there at the moment. It's not a particularly attractive destination at any time of the year, it turns a bit windy & dusty in the hotter months.
It's attraction is that it's FREE, easy to access & you can stay as long as you like. There are some nice day drives around Central Victoria if you're staying there for a while.
Also it gets a bit chaotic on long weekends & holiday times. Enjoy.

nDD, from your oft lofty roost, why do you comment/mix with us peasants/freeloaders.....you certainly rarely share my views...so cannot speak on behalf of me/us...I would pay to go to GreenS Lake, which I'm certain you are mistakenly referring to, by sticking your beak in once again to a genuine question...........the attraction at GreenS Lake is not the FREENESS for me, or my family/friends....its the FREEDOM...from inverted toffs like you.....there is a huge difference.......IMO...have a good one.....Hoo Roo
PS. May I also ask you to refrain from personal attacks on our respected Dougwe......his contributions are appreciated here, by most....unlike yours..IMO

I did mean greens lake and have been once before. We liked it because the dog could have a good time but respecting other campers at times. Was looking for a place not too far from pakenham that we would not get bogged.
Thanks everyone for your input on this however I think I will close it now. Please ensure that comments are focused on the topic rather than the person who posted them.
